First to market: Sorting system with Multi-Belt-Switch
How TBL Cargo went from manual to automated carton and polybag sorting with a Multi-Belt-Switch system — the first of its kind on the market for automated polybag sorting.
The challenge
TBL Cargo previously sorted manually. It was time-consuming, resource-intensive and costly to run — and the process carried a high risk of mis-sorting and physical strain on employees. TBL Cargo needed a more efficient and scalable sorting process that could keep pace with growth in its logistics operations.
The solution
We developed and commissioned an automated sorting system with a Multi-Belt-Switch (MBS) — the first solution of its kind on the market. The system is built with hardware and scanning technology from our partners Interroll Group and SICK Sensor Intelligence, supplemented with wearable scanning devices from ProGlove.
Results
