AI – Artificial intelligence & machine learning

AI is more than a chatbot

Artificial intelligence is no longer a vision of the future. It's a concrete tool. Our team of experienced software developers has knowledge of different machine learning techniques, and we help you find the application that genuinely creates value for you.

What is machine learning?

Machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence where the computer learns to recognize patterns in data – rather than being programmed with fixed rules for every situation. The model is trained on large amounts of data and gradually gets better at recognizing the patterns that are relevant to the task.

The finished model can then be applied to new data to classify, predict or detect anomalies. In practice, this could be a model that identifies a defective product from an image, predicts consumption from historical data, or warns of abnormal behavior in production before it becomes a real problem.

From data to model

Collecting, cleaning and formatting data is the first — and often most crucial — step toward a model that actually works.

Next comes choosing the right model for the task – whether that's:

  • Neural networks
  • Gradient boosting
  • Random forest
  • K-means
  • Support vector machines

We help you navigate these choices, so you end up with a solution that genuinely increases efficiency, lowers costs and strengthens your decision-making.

Freedom to follow operations, wherever you are

We integrate remote access so you can confidently follow and monitor machines and production sites via smartphone, tablet or PC – without being physically present. Combined with alarms, data collection and performance monitoring, for example OEE exported as daily reports, you get a solid basis for quick decisions and stable operations.

AI isn't a single solution

There's no single AI that fits every task. At Techsoft, we work with several different approaches, depending on what the task requires.

Our approaches to machine learning

Classification

Classification organizes data into categories and helps make decisions on a solid basis. It's widely used to optimize processes and operations:

  • Quality control in production: identifies defective products from images and sensor data before they reach the customer.
  • Customer segmentation: groups customers by financial behavior and needs.
  • Fault detection: diagnoses motor faults from sensor and sound data, increasing safety.

Regression

Regression predicts numerical values from historical data, which is essential when you need to plan ahead:

  • Inventory management in retail: predicts demand based on sales history, weather and holidays.
  • Energy forecasting in the utility sector: predicts consumption based on historical data and weather conditions.
  • Pricing in the transport industry: optimizes ticket prices based on booking time, destination and demand.

Natural Language Processing (NLP)

NLP makes it possible to understand and process human language at scale:

  • Contract management: Automatically extracts terms and conditions from large contracts.
  • Customer service: chatbots deliver fast support via chat and voice.
  • Sentiment analysis on social media: reveals customer attitudes and strengthens marketing efforts.

Clustering

Clustering finds patterns in data that would otherwise be hard to spot manually:

  • Production patterns in manufacturing: improves quality and efficiency based on sensor data.
  • Customer segmentation in retail: groups customers by behavior and strengthens targeted marketing.
  • Network security: identifies abnormal traffic patterns and potential threats.
